RIXC Center for New Media Culture was established in 2000 on the basis of E-LAB (Centre for electronic arts and media, since 1996). RIXC is an artist collective and producers, that initiates projects in intersection of art, science and emerging technologies. One of the main RIXC’s activities is curating and production of new media art exhibitions. Since 2000 RIXC runs a space of 100 m2 on the edge of the Riga Old City hosting public events in media culture, art and science. Since 2013 RIXC exploits the space with the name of RIXC Gallery and solely devoted to the production of professional art exhibitions with the aim to promote both emerging and established artists Latvian new media artists.
