Galleria G

Galleria G is an art gallery maintained by the 90-year-old Association of Finnish Printmakers. It is an artists’ gallery; the exhibitions are created by a committee of professional artists. The exhibition program is diverse, focusing on graphic arts and artworks on paper, but the gallery also exhibits paintings, photographs, sculptures, and installations. Galleria G organizes 12 exhibitions per year.

Gallery G was founded in 1968. It is currently located in an old pharmacy space in the Jalander building, city centre of Helsinki.

Digital Graphic Art

The exhibition consists of digital graphic art printed on new Dibond-plates. The pieces deal with themes of different visual phenomena and constructions. The possible worlds of the lines vary in the works. The focus is on their different meanings, relations, backgrounds and the worlds in which they operate. A common factor is the tension between the line and it’s background.

A Frottage Workshop
