Vargas Print Studio

Vargas Print Studio is an artist-run studio/workshop space located in Vallila, Helsinki.

Vargas Print Studio provides courses, master support and individual tuition access to printmaking facilities: silkscreen, intaglio, relief printing, cyanotype, collagraph, monotypia, paper lithograph and photopolymer gravure. We do original prints and the aim is to evolve new projects to the wider fine art editioning.

Fine art editioning is created with slow traditional methods of printing and high-quality inks on a variety of archival fine papers. The studio wishes to maintain awareness of the qualities of traditional printing on contemporary art and its rules of conduct, such as honouring a hand pulled print, limited edition and personal hand touch on the artwork aesthetic qualities. Exclusive, limited fine art editions on paper, photography, ceramics and sculptures from selected artists are available for purchase and can be taken away on the same day.

The studio accepts card payments.

Exclusive, limited fine art editions on paper are available for purchase. All of the prints are hand-finished, edited and signed by the artist. The artist wishes to maintain awareness of the qualities of traditional printing on contemporary art and its rules of conduct, such as honouring a hand pulled print, limited edition and personal hand touch on the artwork aesthetic qualities and fine art editioning. Vargas Print Studio is also selling artworks from curated artists working on the field of fine arts print on paper, sculpture and photography.

Screen Printing Workshop - Print your own AFS Bag!

Sat 12.6.2021 @ 11:00–13:00, Sun 13.6.2021 @ 14:00–16:00

During the demonstration workshop, visitors are given the opportunity to get to know something about silkscreen printing!

Visitors are given the chance to choose and purchase a 100% cotton bag, prepare it, print it with AFS logo and making it ready to go! During this process the artist is supporting the process and is available to answer to all the questions possible.

Each bag is 20€. The studio accepts card payments.

Visitors can bring their own bags or t-shirts (preferably 100% cotton, white or black), printing price is 15€ per item.
